A Joint Venture of China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd and China Energy Engineering Group Northwest Power Construction Engineering Company Limited have commenced Engineering and Construction discussions with CGM Power Group Limited on the development of a scalable Solar PV Plant to be located in Mansa town an area within Zambia’s Northern Circuit region.
The cooperation was formalised at the China-Zambia High Quality Development Forum being hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in collaboration with the Zambia China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC). The 3 day conference is taking place at the Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka and was officially opened by the Republican President of Zambia Mr. Hakainde Hichilema.
The MoU was signed between the parties and paves way for our EPC contract discussion. This is after the Chinese JV partners emerged as the preferred EPC bidder in an open public tender process undertaken by the developer.
